Amber Heard Pleads Guilty in Dog Smuggling Case in Australia

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp arrived at the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday (April 18) in Gold Coast, Australia to face two counts of violating quarantine laws over her two dogs Pistol and Boo.

The 29-year-old actress plead guilty to providing a false passenger card for her dogs while in town to visit her husband on the set of his film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Amber admitted to illegally bringing the dogs into the country without following the strict 10 day quarantine.

If convicted, Amber could face 12 months jail and a $10,000 fine. The judge dropped two illegal importation charges from her case, the BBC reports.

Nope she got away freely. She has a one month good behavior order, of she breaks it, she pays 1,000. All done with the doggy drama.

Why it is a stupid rule in Australia .worse things happen in the world .So she brought her pets illegally to a country and now she should go to jail for it,that is just stupid.

Australia has strict quarantine rules because it is like an island in that it doesn’t share its borders. That means our wildlife is vulnerable to overseas diseases which plants and animals can carry. I wouldn’t call that stupid. All she had to do was declare the dogs and there wouldn’t have been a problem.

Australia doesn’t have rabies. It’s a freaking island. Of course they’re going to be strict! Imagine if a rabies infected pet ended up in their country and spread the disease? Their animals, pets, and people would be in a lot more danger and could spread it more rapidly.
