Leonardo DiCaprio Gives Earth Day Speech at UN (Video)
Leonardo DiCaprio speaks during the Paris Agreement for Climate Change Signing at the United Nations on Friday morning (April 22) in New York City.
The 41-year-old actor gave a speech on Earth Day to urge the world to do something about climate change.
“Our planet cannot be saved unless we leave fossil fuels in the ground where they belong,” Leo said.
“We can congratulate each other today but it will mean nothing if you return to your countries and fail to push beyond the promises of this historic agreement. Now is the time for bold, unprecedented action,” Leo told the crowd of world leaders. “The world is now watching, you will either be lauded by future generations or vilified by them.”
