'The Jungle Book' Beats Out 'The Huntsman' at the Box Office
The Jungle Book stayed in the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend with a whopping $60.8 million gross!
According to THR, Disney’s adaptation of the classic tale hit $191.5 million in the U.S. and raced past the $500 million mark globally.
Coming in second place was The Huntsman, starring Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron, and Emily Blunt, which debuted with $20.1 million.
Taking the third spot was Ice Cube‘s Barbershop 3: The Next Cut, earning an additional $10.8 million for a domestic total of $36 million so far.
Rounding out the top five were Disney’s Zooptopia and Melissa McCarthy‘s The Boss, which grossed $6.6 million and $6.1 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Tom Hanks‘ new movie Hologram for the King took in an estimated $1.2 million and came in 10th place.
