Alicia Vikander Cast as Lara Croft in 'Tomb Raider' Reboot!

Alicia Vikander has landed the coveted role of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider reboot film, Variety reports!

The 27-year-old Oscar winning actress will team up with Roar Uthaug, who will direct the film.

Angelina Jolie Pitt previously took on the role in the 2001 and 2003 films. Daisy Ridley was originally rumored to have landed the role in the reboot.

Alicia‘s career has taken off in the past few years, having won an Oscar for The Danish Girl a few months ago. She’s also recently starred in Ex Machina and will next be seen in Jason Bourne.
