Justin Bieber Is Done Taking Fan Photos For Good

Justin Bieber just wrote an open letter to fans on Instagram announcing that he will no longer be taking photos when he is spotted in public.

The 22-year-old singer says he feels like a “zoo animal” when fans approach him just for a photo and don’t even say hello.

“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture. I’m done taking pictures,” Justin said. “It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human. I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to to keep my sanity.”

“I realize people will be disappointed, but I don’t owe anybody a picture. And people who say, ‘But I bought ur album,” know that you got my album and you got what you paid for… AN ALBUM! It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo,” he added.

Justin recently canceled all meet and greets at his concerts after there was a security issue at one of his Purpose Tour shows.

Let us pray to God that this is finally the last straw for the way he treats his fans and it will cause the end of this nobody flavor of the month Justin Bieber’s career for good.

  • disqus_KHVoDQUlFX

dude, you are where you are because of your fans. the least you can do is take a picture with them. don’t make this all about you

  • Justin Aniston

But if they DIDN’T buy your album at ALL, you wouldn’t be living this life with all these privilieges A LOT of people wish they had. And then when you keep on denying people taking photos with you, they maybe won’t buy your next album. I get that it must be hard to have to take photos with EVERY fan you meet, but they made you! Marilyn Monroe once said “If I am a star, then the people made me a star”

  • j b

Justin Bieber has alway been a fake who is full of himself. As far as he is concerned hard work got him where he is and not his fans.

  • Joher

I get it but sometimes he’s just walking by and people feel like they would bother him more by talking to him and wasting his time so a picture takes just one second, so now people are gonna stop him to have a conversation and next thing we know he’s gonna start saying he doesn’t owe them a conversation.

  • Canon Lyn

I can totally see it from a celebrity’s perspective. People have gotten SO invasive with them. They simply cannot leave their house and have any semblance of a life without being stopped and hounded every 10th step. That would wear on anyone. And heaven forbid they are in the middle of something and aren’t instantly super welcoming and all about it, then it’s all over social media in 5 seconds that they are horrible, a douche, etc. for not taking a photo or autograph.

Imagine for a sec your favorite restaurant. There’s a specific chef who always makes your meal just right and you go back all the time to enjoy the food. That clearly does not give you the right to stalk or harass or interrupt that chef’s day whenever he leaves the house. Just like a celebrity, he is doing his JOB by giving you something you value. Be it a meal or a concert or a CD of music, it’s still a job. They did it, you enjoy it. You pay for it. Their job is done. They did their bit for you. That person giving it deserves to go to the grocery store or visit a friend or out to dinner without being mobbed and needing a police escort! So often the ‘fans’ aren’t even fans they just see a celebrity and want to be able to show all their friends they saw a celebrity and got photo proof so they just run up and start snapping selfies like the person was in fact an animal in a zoo! It’s not ok. At the very least, say hello, mention something about their music or movie that you enjoyed THEN ask nicely for a photo and if it’s not a good time for them, respect that! Let them be a person with a life or YOU are the douche.

  • Canon Lyn

He did his job making the music the fans enjoy. He deserves to be ‘off the clock’ just like everybody else! A person NEEDS some decompress time to recharge.

  • Canon Lyn

Say you are meeting your Mom for dinner. You get out of the car and instead of walking 30 steps to get inside, it takes you an hour because you get mobbed and the crowd keeps growing as you sign autographs and take photos and at some point you HAVE to say no to actually be able to get IN the restaurant to meet your Mom! That’s the thing. It’s not just ONE, it quickly becomes dozens or a hundred. And so many aren’t even ‘fans’ they just want to be able to tell their friends they saw a celebrity so they just rush in and start snapping photos like the person was a zoo animal who happened to be by the fence. It’s not ok. I get where he’s coming from. If people learned to be NICE and orderly, it wouldn’t have come to a point where he had to just say no. And then in 5 seconds after he says no, it’s all over the internet that he’s a douche who won’t take a photo with a fan. They can’t win! A person deserves to live a life and recharge without being mobbed everywhere.

  • Visitor

How much money do those fans pay to pose with you? Maybe if posing with you was free, they wouldn’t treat you that way.

  • Mierzwiak

He’s right, and I’m impressed since this must be the first smart thing he ever said.

  • millerz

He just comes off as the biggest brat. I like his music but like I said and I’ll say it again he needs to go away for a while, maybe now more than ever. For his own sanity. It’s always something with him. This has nothing to do with fans always expecting a picture. To me, and I said it last week. When he cut his hair and his odd behavior it’s like Britney 2007. I think he needs some therapy and family time, HIS MOM. And regroup. Go to Hawaii Justin.

  • Jack Mack

He’s almost to Britney Spears’ level of crazy. Hey getting pawed at 24 x 7 will get you there. I kind of don’t blame the little shit!

  • Kyle Millert

He’s a total brat but that doesn’t make him wrong.

If it took you two hours to grab a coffee and bearclaw (well, I like them) then straight back to your apt. or hotel or whatever because rude people who think you owe them your life just because you’re in the entertainment industry stopped you every three feet, you’d be pissed too. And, btw, he’s like 23yo. Clearly tact isn’t his strong suit and he seems a little lost, lonely, and stupid in general – but he’s human. Humans need a certain level of space and respect otherwise they break down from the inside out. Let the kid help himself before he loses himself in the crowd.

  • http://www.soundcloud.com/cigo8179 Christopher I. Gomes

He’s losing his fucking mind!!! Poor baby!!! Here we go????

  • Stephanie

Oh, PLEASE. Here’s an open letter his fans should write to him:

    Dear Justin,

It’s so many unfortunate people in the world trying to live AND survive from day to day, but you’re trying to “live AND survive” away from photos that make you feel like “a zoo animal”? Spare everyone. We get it: you’re famous and can’t turn for people–the ladies mostly. But, perhaps, if you want to be taken seriously and NOT treated like “a zoo animal,” it might be a good idea to stay away from the clubs you frequent, hos you let tag along, and casual inappropriate IGs you like to post every other day. Stop whining and be grateful that YOUR fans actually like you enough for you to jet-step and live. God forbid they continue to make you rich–oh the horror? SMH. That’s some advice. Save all the “woe it’s me.”

    Take a vacation,

“from those who don’t give two shits about celebrities complaining about not having enough space.”

  • MAXXX

i wouldnt harass the chef for a photo because the chef isn’t a celebrity! The whole point of getting a photo with a celebrity is to be able to brag about it on social media.

  • MAXXX

first world problems.. so much stress.

  • Canon Lyn

That’s my point! Why should his entire day be interrupted and non-stop photo taking with people who don’t even buy his music just to feed your ego so you can pretend to be cool to your friends? That should not be his problem.

  • MAXXX

yes, that SHOULDNT be his problem, but that IS a problem he would have to face because he is an extremely popular person. If he wants some privacy, he should just go on hiatus and not attract so much attention by being on the headlines from doing stupid stuff like pushing rappers on the stage.

  • dalovelee

He’s right. In Europe people respect their celebrities or singers or stars. AND they don’t expect to take a pic or demand a pic with their stars. It’s insanity in fans minds that they think he owes you a pound of flesh. He did his job making music. Leave ALL stars alone. It’s a reflection of how crazy people are and the barriers people don’t understand…also let’s not forget John Lennon. That was an obsessed fan who ended up shooting Lennon who was always too willing to greet fans who walked up to him.

  • MAXXX

exactly.. imagine having to perform for 100+ concerts. Having to sing the same damn song for like a thousand times, doing the same choreography. i would go fucking insane too.

  • MAXXX

exactly. preach it. If they dont want the attention, stop making headlines, do yourself a favour, splurge all the hard-earned money by taking a LOOOOONG ass vacation.

  • MAXXX

not every ‘fan’ on the street would know how stress he is. I mean, heck yeah if i saw jb on the streets, i would want a photo with him. If he doesn’t want the attention, stop making headlines and take a vacation somewhere far away.

  • Stephanie

EXACTLY **high-five*** Of course, Bieber will have another complaint in the near future about something else he can AND could’ve avoided.

  • MAXXX

what are the chances for a swarm of paparazzi be waiting for you outside a restaurant. do you know how fucking big america is? i can say for sure that the paps were tipped-off by someone! It’s not that hard for celebrities to go low-key you know. It’s all up to them

  • Stephanie

Yeah…but you can’t make excuses for the rich and famous. Anytime they really want to ESCAPE the drama, they can. Remember when Kanye left for a whole year and everyone was trying to find him? He didn’t come out of hiding until he felt like being bothered. Celebrities can get away from ANYTHING they want. And maybe he doesn’t feel like “hiding” but he CAN find some peace, somewhere.

  • MAXXX

exactly. it kinda pisses me off hearing all the privileged celebrity moaning about their first world problems. And they are blaming their fans for it..

  • Wendy

I don’t blame him. That would annoy me so bad if people just came up and stuck a phone in my face without even saying anything. It’s called having respect for other humans, and knowing that people don’t like to have their personal space invaded. I saw a tweet from a girl with a picture of him that said “i don’t think justin appreciated me viciously hugging him”……..like how is that okay to just walk up to someone and get all up on them without saying a WORD? Hate all you want on him, but he’s right.

They mob them at the airport too. Point is, if people were being NICE about it and respecting him he’d be fine with it, but they are not, so he’s now had to say no one gets a photo. As always, the idiots ruin everything for everyone.

  • Canon Lyn

At the end of the day, they are just people, just like us. They deserve to be able to go to dinner. It’s not always paps, it’s people on the street. They see him, tweet they saw him, the paps and others swarm the place. Imagine if it were some big, chaotic hassle every time you left your house! For the female celebs I fear most for them. They do not know if a person coming up to them with a camera is intending to harm them (crazed stalker fan) or really a pap because they disguise themselves. I would be freaking out every time I left the house! Not ok. Give them some space. If you are nice and not a jacka$$ they will probably take a photo with you.

  • Canon Lyn

Are you saying that just because a person is rich and famous they don’t have the right to be respected? That’s not ok. And I think we all wish Kanye would take off for a couple more years….LOL

  • Stephanie

No, I’m saying that at all. Everyone deserves respect. I am saying however, that the “rich and famous” have more of a choice how they get “respected” and “disrespected.” We’ve all heard of the saying, “It comes with the territory.” Justin KNOWS this–by now. He can leave whenever he gets well and ready, whenever :)

LOL @ Kanye needing MORE time off. For the next round he can take the whole family :)

  • Camila C.S. Oliveira

I bet he’s just annoyed all the time by people asking for pictures. Even if they were nice with him he would complain. To me it seems like he loves the perks of being rich and famous and don’t want the not so nice things that come with it.

  • Stephanie

YES. Well, that’s HIS LIVE until he chances the course of it.

  • Michele V

Well it is about him because, uh, they want a picture with him.

  • Michele V

Well it is about him because, uh, they want a picture with him.

In what sense do you mean Europe? It’s a big place and I certainly don’t think the UK fits into that after the News of the World scandal. I know France has good laws regarding this.

  • San

We have lost so many entertainers not being able to be honest, tired, sick or just for once a normal person.i would not like a 24/7 stare..he seems stressed give him a break if a true fan..he owes us nothing only owes himself to do whats best to make himself healthy..

  • Mara

He is just such a tool. Also, his grammar is abysmal.

  • dalovelee

France, Italy, UK, primarily I speak of. You have never seen pics obtained by fans and bombarding them. The fan/stalker thing demanding a pic from “stars” is primarily an American fans think they own stars mindset. I’m not talking about paps who chase stars for money. I’m talking about regular people. In Europe they tend to respect stars privacy. That’s why these big stars/singers/celebs often move to Europe because they know they won’t be hounded.

  • The Absolute Truth

Didn’t think this moment would ever happen but I finally respect Justin Bieber.

  • The Absolute Truth

Rational people will disagree with you. Irrational people will agree with you.

OK Sherlock every time we see pap pics someone has been tipped off.
    Give people their privacy.

At the lasts years TIFF event there was a crowd around a eatery I was trying to get in. Turns out Luke Evans was being swarm by CELEBRITY SELF IDIOTS.

  • The Absolute Truth

So they owe you something, bc they’re rich or famous?

  • The Absolute Truth

Not all famous people are rich, so they can’t afford to escape.

  • The Absolute Truth

WOW how many roommates to you have last week it was Beth, the week before was Sue. You think with that level of income they could afford to live alone.

  • The Absolute Truth

Celebrity worshippers are annoying. They take a pic post it on SM and they think their shit. FO idiots

  • The Absolute Truth

Not everyone who hunts celebrities for pics are fans.
