Blake Lively Says Woody Allen Is 'Empowering To Women'

Blake Lively is all smiles as she is greeted by a flock of fans and photographers outside of The Martinez Hotel on Friday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

The 28-year-old pregnant actress, who is expecting her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds, switched up her outfit after attending the photo call for her upcoming film The Shallows as part of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

Blake is defending working with Woody Allen on her latest film Cafe Society after recently being criticized by his son Ronan for turning a blind-eye to the sexual abuse his sister Dylan revealed happened when she was a child.

“It’s amazing what Woody has written for women,” Blake expressed (via LA Times). “It’s very dangerous to factor in things you don’t know anything about. I could [only] know my experience. And my experience with Woody is he’s empowering to women.”

FYI: Blake is wearing a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress paired with a Roger Vivier clutch at her photo call.

Hey Blake! Let your daughter spend the weekend with Woody alone. Lets see how much inspiration he gives her.

“I could [only] know my experience. ” STFU. They should have asked her if she is willing to work with Bill Crosby. Bet you the answer is no. Even though she has no personal experience with him.

Why are y’all surprised? She’s always been an airhead with little talent.

How did this awful actress get this job in the first place? No wonder she’s defending Woody.

Excuse my rudeness, but can she please EFF off?!!

I mean i hate what she said and how dumb it sounds and the whole woody affair BUT at the end of the day she’s kinda right in the fact that all of us might be working for a rapist, child molester, criminal … without knowing it at the moment, you know what I mean ? and we wouldn’t quit our job if there was a rumor and the guy wasn’t prosecuted the only difference here is that they’re public personas so I get it but it doesn’t mean that I like or support it, If you have doubts maybe it’s better in such a situation to step aside were you’re not obliged to work (it’s not a 9 to 5 job where she has no other choices but ok, and maybe she shouldn’t be asked or answer such questions)

“and we wouldn’t quit our job if there was a rumor and the guy wasn’t”
Speak for yourself. The moment I found out one of my colleagues was a rapist and my boss’s response was “we can’t really do anything about it. He’s been working here for 12 years”, I got up and quit on the spot. No amount of money can keep me from sitting right beside someone so vile and seeing their face every morning to noon, 5 days a week. Let’s be honest, she knew all about him. Most actress and actors know about directors and their work way before they even audition or get cast in a part. Don’t give her too much credit. She’s just an idiot and only cares about her career. She wants that Oscar or atleast to be invited to the Oscars.
