Susan Sarandon on Woody Allen: 'I Think He Sexually Assaulted a Child'

Susan Sarandon poses with Geena Davis as they attend a Women in Motion event held during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival held at the Kering Suite on Sunday (May 15) in Cannes, France.

The 69-year-old actress was asked for her thoughts on Woody Allen while she was there.

“I think he sexually assaulted a child and I don’t think that’s right,” Susan told Variety. “I have nothing good to say about him. I don’t want to go there.”

Both Susan and Geena were later seen heading to the airport.

    She’s absolutely right.

Well done Susan. Finally some truth comes out of someone from Hollywood instead of constantly ignoring the question and praising this douchebag and his work. Kristen and Blake Lively should be ashamed of themselves. It was extremely hard reading about what Blake had to say. What a bimbo.

All she is doing is saying what SHE thinks, just like everyone else she knows absolutely nothing about what happened so no she is not saying what others are too spineless to say.

  • Floatyboaty

Er, have you read anything about this case? Look up the witness testimonies (nannies, Mia Farrow, the child herself) and what the prosecutor himself said. Go away and don’t comment until you do. The prosecutor said there was enough evid to prosecute but he didn’t want to put Dylan – then a child – through the stress of it. Frank S. Maco.

  • tia maria

If there was enough evidence for prosecution, what stopped them from re-opening the case once Dylan was 18 and no longer classed as a child? Whatever happened, it was a family issue that should have been dealt with privately.

  • Floatyboaty

Statute of limitations. Plz read up before you share opinions.

“Family issue” Nope, not really. Child abuse is a social and criminal issue. The government has a say in this. Don’t like it? Go live in a cave without other people.

  • tia maria

When I say in private, I mean not releasing the information to the public unless a prosecution is made.

  • Floatyboaty

Criminal investigations can be a matter of public record. No harm there. Allen’s getting away with it because Mia Farrow was not a competent parent (sorry but it’s true) and because of his fame and money. And just about everyone in Hweird says nothing because they don’t want to miss out on that next part. Why? His films are a big yawn. He hasn’t done anything original since about 1743.
