Johnny Depp Asks Judge Not to Grant Amber Heard Spousal Support (Report)

Amber Heard shockingly filed for divorce from Johnny Depp earlier in the week and requested spousal support, and now, word of his response papers is coming in, TMZ reports.

The 52-year-old actor’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, who is a high-powered lawyer for many Hollywood celebrities, filed papers asking the judge to deny the request for spousal support. The documents say they separated on May 22.

The couple were married for just over a year, and met back in 2011 on the set of The Rum Diaries.

So far, the couple hasn’t released a statement about the separation.
