'Nashville' Is In Talks with 4 to 5 Platforms for Season Five

There is a likely chance that the beloved ABC series Nashville will come back for a fifth season as four to five networks and platforms are in talks to renew the show!

Execs for Lionsgate, the studio behind the show, opened up about the possibility of the series returning in an earnings call with reporters.

“The fans and everyone else is clamoring for many more seasons,” Lionsgate’s head of TV, Kevin Beggs, said (via Variety).

While the studio is looking for just one more season at this point, they see it going on for much longer.

“We kind of go one season at a time in our thinking. Our near-term plan is to get another full season,” Beggs added. “These kinds of shows can go forever and ever – obviously that’s our hope and expectation, but we’ve to to do it one season at a time. So right now, we’re all about Season 5. So we hope to land Season 5 and keep talking about this show for years to come.”

If the series is renewed, the cast will be back as they “have long-term deals with” the stars of the show.

Fans are definitely hoping for more episodes after that big cliffhanger ending in the season four finale, which could be the series finale.
