Zendaya Runs Her Own Twitter Because She Has a Brain

Zendaya has never looked more gorgeous than on the new Summer 2016 issue of Wonderland magazine.

Here’s what the 19-year-old actress/singer had to share with the mag:

On why she dropped out of the Aaliyah movie: “I felt like it was being rushed, it didn’t have anyone who really knew her on board or part of the project, it didn’t have the blessing of anyone and I felt it’s production value wasn’t as high as it should have been. I’m too much of a fan to do something that I felt wasn’t worthy of her.”

On the Giuliana Rancic incident: “I could have easily said the first thing that came to my mind. It’s easy to be upset and lash out. It takes courage to take a moment. I stopped myself from doing something dumb or rude and I wrote something that I felt was worth people listening to…There is already harsh criticism of African-American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. My wearing my hair in locs on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color that our hair is good enough.”

On social media: “Whatever you see on Twitter, that’s all me. There’s nobody behind it. There’s nobody telling me what to do. I choose what I do, because I have a brain.”

If her hair is good enough then why is she always in wigs? Also learn to take a fucking joke and not turn it into victimization.

It’s called fashion. The look doesn’t stop with the outfit. If she’s going for a futuristic look, she’s not going to wear her natural long beach curls, she’d need something severe with a sharp cut, without actually having to cut off 60% of her hair for a single red carpet look. This is common sense. You speak as if she’s constantly wearing honey blonde wigs, as opposed to the bowler cut, mullet, afro, “auntie” wigs, etc. she sports on the red carpet. The only wig she wears regularly is whilst filming KCU, one duplicated to look exactly like her hair, to now protect her natural hair which was really damaged from all the processing of season 1. As for the second, don’t even get me started on the arrogance and audacity it takes one to tell another how they should (according to you) react when you direct racism and prejudice their way.
