Jeremy Jordan Is Trying to Save His Cousin Sent to 'Pray Away the Gay' Facility

Supergirl star Jeremy Jordan is on a mission to free his 17-year-old gay cousin Sarah from an East Texas Christian boarding facility where she was sent against her will to “pray away the gay.”

When Sarah‘s parents found out that she wanted to go to the prom with her girlfriend, they sent her away for a full year. She is not allowed to have any contact with the outside world and she is forced to do labor and Bible-based therapy every day.

Sarah is also not allowed to have visitors and cannot leave the property. She tried to escape once and was caught by the staff and returned to the facility.

Jeremy and his family have started a Gofundme campaign to raise money for the legal costs of trying to win Sarah‘s release from the facility.

So far over $21,000 has been raised, including a generous $5,000 donation from Colton Haynes. “This absolutely breaks my heart. Pls help Jeremy Jordan’s cousin be her true self,” he tweeted.

That place should be shut down. That is serious child abuse. What a jacked up country. Hope she escapes. She’s over 16, so she should be able to walk. You can leave high school at 16. How traumatic. I hope you can show up with the police and have her removed. Hope her 18th birthday his soon. Her parents are pieces of shite. I’d never speak to them for the rest of my life. A holes.

I can’t believe there’s places like that. It must be really hard for him to have a love one in this situation and even worse for her cousin, I hope things work out and she finds a place full of love once she is out of that hell. Shame on her parents for putting her through that, but good thing she has someone like Jeremy to support her, some people aren’t that lucky.

These nazi torture experts dont care about a law. Theyll get her to kill herself before they let their religious prisoner escape. Her parents should be indicted for torturing their child with forced labor and imprisonment. Thats the worst kind of abuse.

  • M_J_Murcott

This is kidnapping and the parents and the others involved should be charged with such.

Amazing that this is considered therapy when all evidence shows that it is not therapy. These people should be shut down and their licensing (if they have any) be revoked. Thereafter they should prosecute these counsellors for practising unsafe treatments.

    Come on government, step up.

So the guy who is on a primetime television show is asking ME for money? Really?

  • Melanie Willingham

It’s weird as a case because in Texas where she is from and is held has an age of majority of 17. Legally they shouldn’t be allowed to keep her by that fact alone.

  • dane kimball

She’s been indoctrinated by liberal schools and gay television for years now it is time to undue the damage. Bless her caring parents!!

  • DrWilmaBabyliv

That damn educ-macation system, right? It’s all that learnin’ that has caused her attraction women. Let’s imprison her until she proclaims she’ll live the way we upstanding Christians say she should!

  • M_J_Murcott

Indoctrination is what the followers of a branch of mythology are trying to do to her. I suggest you need to go back to school and learn more about science than what was published in a 2000 year old book.

  • dane kimball

The Bible is full of science and I trust it more than the left leaning scientists. Remember when the educated thought the world was flat, the Bible made it clear is was round. Remember when blood letting was a way to cure some poor sole (like George Washington) the Bible said the life of the flesh is in the blood.

  • dane kimball

Get her away from garbage television and liberal progressive brain washing and she’ll be back to normal.

  • DrWilmaBabyliv

    What counts as “normal?”

  • M_J_Murcott

The bible is full of folk teachings and superstitions which is entirely different from science and the scientific method. The folk teachings are sometimes right but more often wrong, but whether right or wrong it doesn’t make them science.

  • dane kimball

Since the Bible was inspired by God there doesn’t need to be a scientific method because the Creator is the author. There are no wrong “folk teachings” otherwise the Bible would have gone out of circulation along time ago. Tell me one wrong teaching or one wrong anything in the Bible and while you try and find one you may become a believer because there are none. Better people than you have tried and have come to faith because their exhaustive study have changed their hearts.

  • M_J_Murcott

There are hundreds of religious books all with different groups of people claiming that their god wrote them and that they are the real truth. This doesn’t make any of them right, just because you believe your book is the one true book doesn’t mean it has any more value than all the other one true books out there. Your one true book allows slavery, says the world was created in six days and has dragons and unicorns in it. There are plenty more but probably no matter what I say you are unlikely to even think about it.
