  • Zootopia, centers around the animals in the city of Zootopia, a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a wily fox who makes her job even harder.

    The film touches upon some very mature thematic elements that are easily recognized by adults while being thoroughly enjoyable by kids. Overall the film is a hilarious, sweet, and exciting movie full of visual eye-candy. The various animal worlds were especially a joy to watch – and exactly how you’d imagine a world that had hamsters and elephants living together. Every detail of the film is a joy to watch.

    As usual, Disney’s film looks gorgeous in this 1080p transfer complete with 7.1 DTS-HDMA audio. With the colorful worlds that Disney has created, everything pops in this version of the film.

    Extras for this release include a short doc on how the filmmakers were immersed with real animals in addition to round table discussions, deleted scenes, and a the usual music videos from the soundtrack of the film. Overall, the extras are a little bit bare compared to other Disney releases, however, what is offered is enough to further enjoy the film after the fact. Overall – this Blu-Ray is a solid pick up for anyone.

  • Game of Thrones Season 3 and Season 4 – The special edition of the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones season 3 and 4, comes out on Blu-ray today. These new versions continue the special edition packaging that comes complete with a collectible sigil magnet.

    These sets are perfect for the Game of Thrones fans who want to relive the 3rd season when Stannis Baratheon has threatened the Lannisters and altered the balance of powers. In the meantime Robb Stark is trying to build an army while the wildlings continue to march South. And who can forget Daenerys Targaryen being reunited with her dragons as she tries to raise an army. If you’ve heard about one of the craziest episodes in Game of Thrones – this is THAT season.

    Bonus features include Audio commentaries, in-episode guides, features on the “Roots of Westeros”, deleted scenes, and more.

    For season 4, we see Stannis Baratheon continue to build his army, infamous Joffrey’s wedding, and Daenerys Targaryen’s new Unsullied army as she tries to liberate Meereen.

    Bonus features include an indepth look at “Behind the Battle for the Wall”, deleted scenes, and look at the “Bastards of Westeros” along with a blooper reel.

  • Rick and Morty Season 2 – The cult animated hit from Adult Swim is back for a second season. Just in time as we eagerly wait for season 3 to air/

    If you’ve never watched a single episode of Rick and Morty, it’s one of the most clever, outrageous animated tv shows out there. Think rated R Back to the Future featuring a drunk brilliant mad scientist grandpa going on various adventures with his naive and awkward grandson Morty.

    From the brains of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, Season 2 featured hilarious episodes such as “Get Schwifty” which featured an alien race bent on destroying earth, but a reality song competition is all that’s left to save the planet.

    Rick and Morty Season 2 is a solid pick up for anyone who has been following the show. While this season isn’t as good as the first, there are many memorable and hilarious episodes to watch.

  • The Martian: Extended Edition Also hits shelves and digital HD today. For those that missed the first release can pick up the extended version which features 10 minutes of brand new footage not shown in theaters, audio commentary by director Ridley Scott and a new
    documentary of the science behind recreating Mars for the film.
  • 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, tells the true story of the September 11, 2012, Islamic militant attacks against the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, killing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, an officer for the Foreign Service. Stationed less than one mile away are members (James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini) of the Annex Security Team, former soldiers assigned to protect operatives and diplomats in the city. As the assault rages on, the six men engage the combatants in a fierce firefight to save the lives of the remaining Americans.
