Leona Lewis Gets Ready for Broadway at Tony Awards 2016
Leona Lewis poses for photos on the red carpet at the 2016 Tony Awards held at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday (June 12) in New York City.
The 31-year-old singer will be making her Broadway debut this summer in the revival of Cats, singing the iconic song “Memory” in the role of Grizabella.
“The classic Cats, which I saw when I was 9, was just so breathtaking and mesmerizing,” Leona told People on the carpet. “So it’s staying true to the original but they’re injecting a bit of freshness into it which I’m really excited about.”
Also in attendance at the show was rapper Common, who took to the stage during the show.
FYI: Leona is wearing a Nili Lotan gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
