Blu Ray and DVD Releases Today
London Has Fallen – Starring Gerard Butler, the new action film and sequel to Olympus Has Fallen follows Secret Service agent Mike Banning where he’s tasked to protect the President of the United States on a surprise trip to London. As expected, the visit goes out of control as a determined band of terrorists ambush the world leaders, and it’s up to Banning to save the President.

The film hits all the right action movie points: Constant explosions, insurmountable odds, and the over-the-top one liners. This time around, Gerard‘s character is much more gritty and unforgiving to the point where it seems out of place at times. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a mindless action packed movie, Fallen may suit your needs.

The film is presented in 1080p in a fantastic DTS:X soundtrack. Special features include a “Making of London Has Fallen” featurette and another feature exploring the action scenes of the film.

Eddie The Eagle comes soaring onto Blu Ray today. Based on a true story, the film follows Eddie The Eagle Edwards (played by Kingsmen‘s Taron Egerton), an unlikely yet determined British ski-jumper who dreams to make it to the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.

The cast is rounded out with Hugh Jackman who plays a washed-up former ski-jumping champion and Christopher Walken, who plays a former Olympic coach.

Special features include a documentary on Eddie the Eagle and still galleries.

Overall the film is a great heartwarming feel-good movie about a boy with a lot of heart and determination.
