Matt Damon, Kate Mara & Other Celebrities Unite to Stop Yulin Dog Meat Festival

Celebrities are speaking out in an attempt to end the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, where dogs are tortured and killed in China and other South-East Asian countries every year.

Each June, thousands of dogs are stolen, tortured and then slaughtered for consumption for the festival, which has been occurring since 2010.

Celebrities including Matt Damon, Kate Mara, Kristen Bell, Joaquin Phoenix, Sia, Alicia Silverstone and Pamela Anderson have all teamed up with the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation to create a PSA to raise awareness about these horrific events.

“We are here asking you to stop the cruelty. Together we can do this,” Matt says in the video.
