'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Production 'Starting Later,' May Be Delayed

Game of Thrones production on season seven has been pushed back due to weather.

Currently, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss want to wait for gloomy weather to film to capture the “Winter is here” moment from the end of season six.

“We don’t have an air date yet. We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ – and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot,” the showrunners said during a UFC podcast.

Some are speculating that the season could be pushed back a bit if the production dates are pushed back for the weather.
