Adam Lambert Dreams of Equal Rights For All

Adam Lambert sports a pair of blue aviator sunglasses as he makes his way through the airport on Friday (July 8) in Sydney, Australia.

The 34-year-old “Welcome To The Show” singer looked comfy for his flight in a camo shirt, cargo pants, and Nike shoes.

The day before, Adam took to his Twitter to share his thoughts on the horrible events that happened earlier in the week.

“I dream of equal rights and justice for all. #blacklivesmatter,” he tweeted. “Violence is not the answer. A few Individuals should not be allowed to taint an entire group or movement. Let’s use our heads and our hearts.”

Adam also tweeted out the hashtags for Philando Castile and Alton Sterling to share his condolences.

But you think one or two incidents taints all Police all right pucker-face? Screw the Liberal Left’s platitudes. If they incite violence then give them violence. If they incite war than lets give them war.

Huh? What the heck does equal rights have to do with it? More whites are killed by cops than blacks and Latinos combined. So does that mean Adam wants an equal number of blacks and Latinos killed? And, what about the fact that 90% of people killed by cops are men, even though men make up half the population. Does that mean the police are also sexist, since the majority of people killed are men? Using Adam’s logic, I guess it does. And, for the sake of equality, the police should go after women more. Using the logic of the left, men, in general, are unfairly targeted because of their sex.

White Americans are the racial majority — “According to the most recent census data, there are nearly 160 million more white people in America than there are black people. White people make up roughly 62 percent of the U.S. population but only about 49 percent of those who are killed by police officers. African Americans, however, account for 24 percent of those fatally shot and killed by the police despite being just 13 percent of the U.S. population. As The Post noted in a new analysis published last week, that means black Americans are 2.5 times as likely as white Americans to be shot and killed by police officers.”

This blanket statement flippantly dismisses the very specific & individual struggles that black people face.

Bull. The ‘movement’ diminishes others and brings more hositility, not less.

  • Gina

Wrong! Black lives are disproportionately being diminished by police brutality. People who refuse to admit or see it are the ones bringing about hostility.

This rhetoric defeats the purpose of Adams statement which I believe has been taken out of context. He promotes peace and non violence for all people. Let’s not argue about who’s brutalized more….brutality and violence are wrong period. I respect his ability to voice his opinion without fear of repercussion. He doesn’t kiss ass to win fans. Unusual for a celebrity, that’s why I love him!
