The Tenors Sing 'All Lives Matter' at MLB All-Star Game, Ignite Outrage (Video)

The Tenors, a singing group from Canada, ignited outrage when they changed a line in “Oh Canada” to include “all lives matter” during the 2016 MLB All-Star Game.

The singers performed at the game on Tuesday night (July 12) at Petco Park in San Diego, Calif.

The guys decided to change the lyrics of a line to, “We’re all brothers and sisters. All lives matter to the great.” Watch a clip below.

“All lives matter” is considered to be a response to the Black Lives Matter movement and people were not happy about the switch-up on social media.

Who really thought that would be a good thing? It’s not a secret that changing from black to all has been controversial for months.

As a white American, I think one of the things that outages me, is this whining from other white people feeling all oppressed and that the BLM movement is racist and that somehow black people think they’re above white people. Knock it off. The BLM movement is trying to bring to the forefront what black Americans feel living in this country and it isn’t about them thinking they are superior to white Americans, it’s that they want to be treated as EQUALS to everyone else.

Our country celebrated its 240th birthday this year. It’s old, it has a lot of years in its history, but people seem to forget the history of this country. Black men and women have only had the right to vote for the last 50 years. FIFTY! Interracial marriage has only been legal for 49 years! Black men and women have been fighting to sit at the table of equality, even to this day. To be able to leave their house without fear, to be able to vote, to send their children out into the world and not have to worry about their safety and whether they will come home alive, to be able to move into a house wherever they chose (housing discrimination is still prevalant and it’s now spilling over to the LGBTQ community). Black Americans have been fighting for decades and their fight was met with hatred, water hoses, dogs, bottles of feces and urine thrown at their bodies, violence, lynching, death, bombs, guns, anti-black laws, racial slurs, spit and the list goes on.

Evil viseral hatred of people, based solely on the color of their skin, is alive and well in this country today. And denying it is dangerous, extremely dangerous. This needs to change…NOW!

If BLM is really a peaceful movement, perhaps they better do something about those participants that chant “Death to Whitey” or “Pigs in a blanket fry like bacon”. Or maybe they should do something about preventing the participation of New Black Panthers in their events. More and more are viewing BLM as a hate group. BLM is segregationist by nature. Are you aware that black people are no more likely to be shot by the police than white people? New study by a Black Harvard professor. But the reason people have been conditioned to believe that is not the case is because the media NEVER reports when a cop shoots a white person…you would think that it never happens because no news reports on it…EVER. There is absolutely nothing wrong with All Lives Matter…it is inclusionary. It puts all people on an equal footing. It says that ALL people should be treated the same. If that is what BLM be treated the same…then why do they have such a problem with ALL LIVES MATTER??????

Why is it so hard for white people to get that when black people say ‘black lives matter’ is means: “we, black people, don’t feel our lives matter and our lives should matter, too”

Black lives matter means blacks don’t feel their lives are valued the same way white lives are. Saying “All Lives Matter” shows DENIAL of the unequal treatment of blacks, AND other racial minorities like First Nations/Native Americans. Saying “All Lives Matter” is pretending that everyone is EQUAL. Equality exists on paper, but real life treatments of nonwhite groups such as black, Natives and non-white Hispanics say otherwise.

In an ideal society, all lives do matter, but in THIS REALITY, black lives DO NOT carry the same value of white lives.

Bad/wrong platform perhaps? We’d be crossing the line (pun) to involve New Zealand’s Rugby All Blacks !!
    - helps relate to black/white. In context, mateship to a similar degree Australia has the ‘matta’ or Paramatta river. Thumbs-up to an Autumn Sunrise !! #every
