Donald Trump Officially Wins Republican Nomination for President

Donald Trump has officially been nominated for president by the Republican party.

The 70-year-old billionaire businessman was put over the top with delegates by his home state of New York.

Some of the delegate votes that other candidates, including Marco Rubio and John Kasich, received were given to Trump by convention officials.

In a speech given during the Republican National Convention on Monday night (July 18), Trump‘s wife Melania said many phrases that seemed to be grabbed from the speech that Michelle Obama gave at the Democratic National Convention back in 2008.
