Amber Rose Weighs In on Kanye West's Feud with Taylor Swift

Amber Rose is defending her ex Kanye West after the drama filled phone call video of him speaking to Taylor Swift about his song “Famous.”

“So, I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye … but I was next to him at the VMAs that year,” Amber said (via Billboard). “I remember the repercussions after that. I remember Taylor’s mother and father coming up to us and saying, ‘One day Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you.’ He was so remorseful. I mean he really felt so bad, because it wasn’t about Taylor. It was about Beyoncé and her video … he didn’t want to interrupt Taylor – he didn’t even know who she was at the time.”

“He really went through a lot of bullsh–, and I know that Kanye would never, ever go through that again by not calling Taylor and saying ‘Heads up, I’m about to kind of go write this verse real quick, just want to make sure you’re cool with it,’” Amber continued.

“I say all of that to say, why didn’t I get a phone call for using a naked wax figure in your video, Kanye? I mean, Taylor gets a call but I don’t get a call. So please stay the f**k out of the news, so I don’t need to talk about your ass anymore,” Amber added.

Wow Queen of manipulation speaks. Such horseshit.

  • Mark Jekabson

I hope Kanye doesn’t take her advice. Life gets boring without someone who feels like Pablo in it. That magnanimity is at a high premium and doesn’t come easily.

  • Toni gee

I remember when she told how Mr. Kardashian liked three fingers up his ass. Makes me wonder what else he likes shoved up there?

  • Shell

If it’s true about him and his ‘assistant’, he should start worrying as I can see Taylor doing all she can to take him and Kim down now and this would be the ultimate FU to them, showing the marriage for the fake it is supposed to be.

  • Mona

The problem with Kanye is….. well, he’s just not very smart. And sometimes evil evil (with the video recording of the phone call on speaker phone & not even mentioning to her the lyrics “I made that bitch famous”- which was what upset her, then turning it around and blaming it all on her for supposedly “approving” those lyrics she never heard), yea as far as I’m concerned he’s just an ignorant, racist & evil piece of shit.

According to Amber here: ‘he means no harm, but he doesn’t know any better’…well, even some criminals may mean no harm but don’t know better, that doesn’t make them less dangerous to live among the normal people.

  • Mona

Taylor isn’t going to be the one to expose anything about their marriage. She’s made it clear many times that she wants nothing to do with them, but they’re not leaving her alone.

  • John Dow

Amber can easily manipulate Kanye with her finger… in his ass. Just the way he likes it :)

he didn’t even know who she was at the time.”
Because of course that makes his behaviour just fine. so you can be ridiculously rude and arrogant to someone if they’re a nobody or not so famous as someone else. good to know. life lessons from Kanye and Amber Rose. it wasn’t about Beyonce, it was about him thinking his opinion was better. everyone knows award shows are BS, they’re for who is popular not who was best, be it in singing or acting or just about anything else. if it was about Beyonce he could gone off to reporters afterwards, but he didn’t. he chose to make himself the headline, not Beyonce. if he felt bad, if he truly felt remorseful he’d have left it there, he’d have stopped. this is a man who doesn’t give a shit about anyone but Kanye. Kanye first and Kanye last.

I think going so far as to call Mr. West ‘evil’ in your case is presupposing premeditation, as if he was planning on framing her for his own downfall. I don’t think that there were any ulterior motives in his calling Taylor to run the lyrics by her other than perhaps an oversight that might have been caused by his embarassment at or fear of being rejected for the “famous” line. I think that at the time he wanted to be her friend and to achieve a success parallel to hers with the only condition on and delusory aspect to his ambitions being the likelyhood of her later tweeting a link to his song to help promote it. He probably thought, with them being friends at the time, that she would consent to this and perhaps didn’t see that she was also running a multimillion dollar ‘brand’, that, at the moment, still, makes the wheels on the entertainment industry go round. As far as the criminality of the phonecall I think we can assume that no charges will be pressed because no one really got hurt. Don’t get me wrong about some of the aesthetics: the videotape of the conversation looks ‘evil’ but I think that may be in part because Rick Rubin appears to be lying comotose in the background.

  • Mark Jekabson

I would disagree with you on this one. I think Mr. West felt passionate enough about the Beyonce video to get up and say something about it not winning because of it’s own merits, not because he wanted publicity for himself. If you are at all concerned with legacy, which he is, someone might be moved enough by another persons work of art to stand up to protest on it’s behalf. Like I said, that kind of magnanimity is at a high premium because it is so rare, not to mention the passion that drives it. Kanye West may be a troubled and troubling man but I think his intentions are essentially good and have to do with maintaining his right to speak his mind and conscience on issues that are relevant to us all.

I agree, it is always about him. And he has poor taste.

  • Katiedidntdoit

Mr.West was hopped up on his little bottle of Hennessy and feeling entitled to rip an award from a young white teenager it’s not that deep. L o L

  • Mark Jekabson

It depends on how much you like the Beyonce video I guess. I saw both the videos that were up for the award around the same time and you could say that Taylor and her frilly sundresses represented middle American family values while beyonce’s video represented female empowerment, both of which are deep enough to warrant a discussion. If it’s true that Kanye didn’t even know who Taylor was at the time you could say he went into the discussion unprepared, because Taylor and those dresses already had a lot riding on them.

  • Katiedidntdoit

I liked both videos and Beyoncé ended up winning top honors that night.

  • Mark Jekabson

    So did I.

  • Kelley

Why does anyone care what Amber Rose thinks?

  • Gee

‘One day Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you.’, and Kanye West was really remorseful? How about West and Kardashian considering how they would feel if someone called THEIR daughter a b*tch? Yeah, might not be so adamant do defend that lyric, would you.
