yeah but is it better than season 4? because I thought 3 was pretty shit until 4 happened. Arrow’s got a long way to go to get back to good

Someone completely new is in charge, so there’s a huge chance that this season will be much much better. However, if this season is ruined again, I’m giving up on Arrow once and forall. The last 2 seasons have been a shit show.

    For real.
I seriously struggled to get through this season, it just dragged. I used to enjoy it but its just Oliver making the same mistakes over and over and over again for 4 seasons, the flashbacks bore the crap out of me now – he really needs to stop saying he spent five years on the island when he seems to have been there about a year what with everything. Oliver has become increasingly know-it-all about vigilantism which has just gotten incredibly boring to watch. they’ve made Felicity into this terrible version of herself as this incredibly nagging irritating brat (they did the same w/ Iris and Eddie in S1 of the Flash -for some reason CW writers seem to think that women are nagging harpies in relationships, spouting off about 100% honesty at all times and you can’t have any secrets even if they’re other people’s secrets and not yours to tell and you can’t have a few days alone to deal with something befor turning to your partner, no you have to go to them the second something big happens because how dare you need a moment to yourself to process something argh it infuriates me so much) and everything is just dull as hell. the show is dull. it’s too overstuffed with characters.

the finale was weeks ago and i only just finished the season because i literally had to force myself to watch it. that’s not a good sign for a show I used to enjoy. I basically only watch it at this juncture for The Flash cross-overs and will likely only watch 5 for the big crossover, otherwise, I’m out. Arrow is being outclassed for enjoyment, personally, by The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow and even Supergirl. If season 5 doesn’t recover some of what made the show originally good, I’m out. I’m done. I’ve got The Flash, LoT and SG to enjoy instead
