Margot Robbie Admits 'Vanity Fair' Article Had 'Really Weird' Tone

Margot Robbie is all smiles while arriving on on the set of Univision’s Despierta America at Univision Studios on Monday (July 25) in Miami, Fla.

The 26-year-old actress was joined by her Suicide Squad co-stars Will Smith, Jay Hernandez, and Karen Fukuhara to promote the flick, after they were spotted arriving at Miami International Airport the evening before.

Margot recently opened up about that highly criticized Vanity Fair article that described her as “26 and beautiful, not in that otherworldly catwalk way” as well as “She can be sexy and composed even while naked but only in character.”

“I remember thinking, that was a really odd interview, I don’t know how that’s going to come out,” Margot told The Project. “And then when I read it I was like, ‘Yeah, the tone of this is really weird. Like, I don’t really know what he’s trying to get at.”

The whole point of the interview and article was to get people annoyed and curious and generate clicks, obviously, by taking the weird creeper sexist tone. Margot wasn’t in on it, but Vanity Fair’s editors most definitely were as they approved it. Like any other print publication, it’s desperate.
