The Bachelorette's JoJo Fletcher Explains to Robby Hayes Why She Chose Jordan Rodgers

JoJo Fletcher explained to Robby Hayes during The Bachelorette after show why she did not pick him to be her husband.

“Speaking of closure, you know, watching back the final rose … you say a lot of things that make me think that it should of been us,” Robby told JoJo. “[You said] that you love me, that your family thought it should’ve been me. … I’m asking now, with the time that has passed, is there anything that’s more clear as to why one love was stronger than the one love we had?”

“I will be honest and say I did love you, but I said to you on that last day, no matter how I was feeling for you, my heart was always with Jordan,” JoJo, 25, said of her choice, Jordan Rodgers. “I just couldn’t image ever saying goodbye to him.”

“If I didn’t tell JoJo I loved her, I would have been lying. The only thing I’m upset about is what was taken from me. I come from a very traditional family where marriage is a one time thing. But it’s not just the marriage. It’s the picking of the ring, the asking the parents for permission, giving the speech before you get down on one knee. JoJo took that from me and I can’t ever get it back,” Robby told People later. “JoJo will always hold a portion of my heart. I fell in love with her, and in falling in love, I attached strings. One of them was unconditional care for her. I want JoJo to be happy and if I’m not the guy, I understand.”
