Blake Lively Slams Post-Pregnancy Body Ideals

Blake Lively is speaking out to slam the idea that women need to get their bodies back into tip-top shape immediately after giving birth.

The 28-year-old actress, who was interviewed by Australia’s Sunrise at the junket for The Shallows back in June, was praised for her post-pregnancy body seen in the film.

“It’s so unfair though, because it’s so celebrated,” Blake said. “It’s like, this is what someone can look like after a baby. I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing.”

“You don’t need to be Victoria’s Secret ready right away because you just did the most incredible miracle that life has to offer. I mean, you gave birth to a human being! So I would really like to see that celebrated,” she added.

Ok, I watched the Age of Adeline last year and fell in love with this Bitch. Don’t judge me. (I also saw The Shallows.) Yes, yes I fell hard.

She’s right! It’s about the baby, not the body. I love covering her style on http://celebstyle.us/blake-lively/ – especially her maternity outfits :)

So true! To be honest, I kinda worried about it when I was pregnant with my son (thru conceiveeasy). But when you have a newborn that occupies your waking (and sleeping) moments, the gym is not really high on your list of places to go to.
