Jeff Henderson Takes the Gold in Men's Long Jump at Rio Olympics 2016!

Jeff Henderson proudly waves the U.S. flag behind him and grins after winning gold for the men’s long jump final during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics at Olympic Stadium on Saturday (August 13).

The 27-year-old track and field athlete jumped 8.38 meters (27 feet, 6 inches), beating Luvo Manyonga of South Africa by 1 centimeter.

Greg Rutherford of Great Britain took the bronze with 8.29 meters, and Jarrion Lawson of the USA finished in fourth.

Jeff‘s victory marks the United States’ first gold in the event since 2004.
