Team USA Women's Rowing Takes Gold in Third Straight Olympics
USA women’s rowing took the gold medal for their third straight Olympics during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Saturday (August 13) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The eight-women team clocked in at 6:01.49, two seconds ahead of silver medalists Great Britain and bronze medalists Romania.
Not only has the team won gold in the past three Olympics but they have also not suffered defeat since 2006, claiming every world title over a 10-year span.
Team member Gevvie Stone also took home the silver in the singles event.
