Ryan Lochte's Mom Says He Was Robbed at Gunpoint in Rio, IOC Disputes Report
“I think they’re all shaken up. There were a few of them,” Ileana Lochte told USA Today. “No, they were just, they just took their wallets and basically that was it.”
“I’ll be OK when I see him,” Ileana said. She added that Ryan was in a cab when the car stopped for gas. A group then approached the car and took their wallets.
Ryan‘s swim coach David Marsh, however, disputed the report. IOC (International Olympic Committee) spokesman Mark Adams also told the AP that the story is “absolutely not true.”
