'Suicide Squad' Wins Weekend Box Office, 'Sausage Party' Opens Strong
Suicide Squad has taken the top spot at the weekend box office, despite a huge decline in viewership in its second week in theaters.
The film brought in $43.8 million after dropping 67% this week. The movie has earned a domestic total of $222.9 million in two weeks at the box office.
Seth Rogen‘s Sausage Party, in its debut at the box office, over-performed and brought in $33.6 million.
Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard‘s Pete’s Dragon took in $21.5 million in its debut weekend.
Rounding out the top five are Jason Bourne and Bad Moms, with $13.6 and $11.4 million, respectively.
