Cara Delevingne Responds to Negative 'Suicide Squad' Reviews

Cara Delevingne‘s latest film Suicide Squad has been a huge success at the box office but critics have been giving the flick some terrible reviews.

The 23-year-old actress and model recently opened up about how she felt about the negative feedback.

“The critics have been absolutely horrific. They’re really, really horrible. You know, I just don’t think they like superhero movies. This movie isn’t perfect but it’s a wonderful film and the characters are incredible. We all worked really hard,” she explained to Reuters.

Cara added, “It doesn’t really matter what the critics say at the end of the day, it’s the fans that we made this movie for.”

Her co-star Margot Robbie expressed that she felt the same saying, “Critical acclaim is really nice, but we made it for the fans. If the fans like it, then we did our job.”

… and the fans have spoken. They’re annoyed Jared got left on the cutting room floor and no one wants an ‘girl power’ sequel. You and Robbie can’t act and tossing stuff around or pouting or laughing manically is NOT acting. Nor is Kung Fu crap ‘n nonsense. Jared was THE ACTOR as well as others and he got cut from the film after all his HARD WORK. What say you to that?

“Critics don’t like comic book movies”

Can someone point Carla to all the positive reviews of basically every Marvel film and Nolan’s Batman trilogy?

  • John Dow

    > it’s the fans that we made this movie for

And they don’t like it either.

A lot of the criticism had to do with Cara’s inability to act. Her scenes as Dr. Moone were really hard to watch.

The movie was absolute shit, Jared who was the only one who made a decent job was in it for like 2 minutes, Will Smith played will smith (I’m surprised he didn’t cry in this movie too), Viola Davis was a waste of great talent tbh and the rest of the cast was just… There. Step up DC, for f*ck’s sake, I’m hoping Wonder Woman lives up to the hype…

Cara’s acting skills were so bad that I almost left the theater!!

The movie was BAD and she was literally the worst part…. I had such high hopes but man they butchered it.

    “the critics gave been horrible”
    “I know the movie isn’t perfect but…”

Yup. This girl sure knows how to make an argument against critics being critical about things she knows are worthy of criticism.

It’s very possible that the parts of the Joker they left in were the parts where Leto didn’t butcher the role.

Will Smith is a yalented, but fading star. And Margot Robbie is beautiful but Harley isn’t necessarily a well known character. So Joker was by far the biggest appeal to the general public.

Considering how disjointed the movie was, and how much studio involvement was put into the edits, then it’s very possible that Leto wasn’t a good Joker and they removed him in order to cover their tracks (similar to Alexander Luthors constant references to “My Dad Lex”).

So I’d love to hear more behind the scenes and find out why in the world they took the main draw of the film and shelved his entire performance.

Kind of like Denise Richards when she played a “Nukuler Scientist” in that Bond movie.

She’s so stupid. She’s not going to make to far in this business if this is how she reacts every time someone criticise her.

  • Carmex

I had SUCH huge hopes for the movie and I am a fan of these types of movies, but the movie was just plain boring I must admit. And I am actually a fan of Cara; but you’re better at modeling. But ah, I guess everybody can model and get movie roles if your Godfather is Nicholas Coleridge the president of Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair.

maybe if she could act they wouldn’t be critical? some people never see their own issue

Cara Delevingne is Hermione Granger in Harry Potter. Harry Potter is Justin Massler who is the real Chosen One/Jesus Christ while Ron Weasley is his real best friend Martin Maloney who is an Irish actor. Neville Longbottom is author Tucker Max while Luna Lovegood is Ashley Arenson. They are like the main five people of Dumbledore’s Army in real life. Lord Voldemort is Lord Jacob Rothschild who is a banker who was the real guy behind the 9/11 terrorist conspiracy so The Rothschild Group could take over the Iraq and Afghanistan banks. But if you know the real main Dumbledore’s Army Five and how Albus Dumbledore is Alan Moore and Severus Snape is Neil Gaiman it defeat Lord Voldemort’s secrecy shields that he’s really Lord Jacob Rothschild and the real guy behind the 9/11 att

She’s a young actor so I’m not surprised by her response, might’ve been better to just say “everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, I’m just happy that there were many people who enjoyed it.” Me personally, I liked the film, and Enchantress and Joker were my favourite characters. The way people in the comments are reacting you’d think Cara Delevingne used to bully them at school or something.
