Rio Olympics 2016 Final Medal Count Revealed!
The 2016 Rio Summer Olympics wrapped up today (August 21), and with the closing ceremony happening in just a few hours, the final medal counts are in!
The United States athletes won the most medals, with 121 total (46 gold, 37 silver, and 38 bronze). China and Great Britain rounded out the top three with 70 and 67 medals won, respectively.
Russia won a total of 56 medals and Germany won a total of 42.
Rounding out the top 10 countries with the most medals were France (42), Japan (41), Australia (29), Italy (28), and Canada (22).
