American Airlines Responds to Emilie de Ravin's Complaint

Emilie de Ravin has received a response from American Airlines after she put the company on blast for the actions of a “disgusting” employee.

The 34-year-old Once Upon a Time actress says that her breast pump was forcefully taken from her by a female employee while boarding a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles.

“We saw the tweets and we are looking into the issue, and we do apologize to the customer for the inconvenience,” the airline said in a statement to Us Weekly. “Just to clarify the policy, we absolutely welcome breast pumps on board the aircraft. In fact, they do not count against your carry on baggage. So normally you’re allowed one bag and a personal item aboard the aircraft, but a breast pump we consider a medical device so that is allowed in addition. We will have our Customer Relations reach out to [Emilie de Ravin].”

Emilie requested that the airline fire the employee who treated her inappropriately.

“No American Airlines. An explanation s unacceptable. I want the woman’s livelihood taken away. I want her to be unemployed and I’ve posted her name so that she will be un-hireable! EVER! I am a television actress and I deserve to be treated with respect and dignity and anyone who dares treat me like a common person needs to fired immediately!

    Apology not accepted.”

    Signed,
Emilie de Ravin. (The greatest Belle ever.)

P.S. No more commoners on my flights please. If I am on a plane then the only others onboard should be my child, a flight servant and my baby pump. Everyone else should find another plane because I cant stand the smell of mediocrity.

Not acceptable if the stewardess acted like that. If she did she should of course be fired. It’s a job that requires good communication skills. And sure naming her publicly was not necessary…

Last week the alleged security employees accosting an Olympics celebrity, and then we got to hear the other side of the story. This starlet is using Twitter and her fans as tools to get the employee dismissed. That’s how celebrities think, everyone is a tool they can use, since they are so much more important than the ‘great unwashed’ fans. Let’s hear the other side of the story now, okay. Video of the incident, what all was said by all parties involved? And please, through official channels. Or, if you’re wanting only ‘your’ side shown, go to Twitter and whine.
