Odell Beckham Jr. Speaks About Lena Dunham's Comments

New York Giants football star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has finally responded to Lena Dunham after her controversial comments surrounding him at the 2016 Met Gala.

“I don’t have enough information to really speak on it,” Odell, 23, told Complex. “We’ll see what happens from there. I never want any problems with anybody in this world.”

The pair sat at the same table at the annual fashion gala. “He looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards,” Lena said of meeting him. She has since released a lengthy apology.

He never wants any problems with anyone and she’s made a career out of starting them. Psssh. Hideous cow.

So she was just sitting there fictionalizing the whole experience as if he were a character in one of her TV shows. That’s what writers do. The problem was her research went into a magazine interview instead of a new TV show or project she could do. It would have been better if she had just kept it to herself and let her imagination further her career instead of some type of controversy where she gets to show off how insightful she is in print. She probably just wishes she could gave gathered some good dialogue since shes not in the company of sports stars very often.

    I like his classy response.

good point. But also the media is scouring for any bits they can grow into story so they take a silly thing and blow it into a fake controversy.

He’s unbothered by her existence. Good.

Had he said “Hello” the narrative she would write no doubt would be how he was flirting with her and just because he’s an amazing athlete, how dare he assume she was into him. He can’t win either way, he handled this perfectly.

It wasn’t the fault of the media this time. Dunham was simply quoted accurately–her efforts to be ‘noticed’ are of her own making–not one else.

  • Mark Jekabson

Thats true. Thats why people are constantly talking about the last two tweets they wrote that were controversial instead of the movies they spent 10 months filming and millions making.

He pulled the I will act busy on my phone so I don’t have to talk to this person. She wrong for her assumption. But he wrong for not even at least saying Hi. They were at the same table for crying out loud would it have killed you to introduce yourself? Now if he did do that and they exchanged pleasantries. Then disregard what I just said lol.
