Shailene Woodley Sends Prayers to North Dakota from 'Snowden' TIFF Premiere
Shailene Woodley hits the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Snowden held during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday (September 9) at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Canada.
The 24-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zachary Quinto, and Melissa Leo, as well as director Oliver Stone. Earlier in the night, she wore a different dress at the premiere’s pre-party hosted by Audi and Nespresso.
While she was doing press for her movie, Shailene had her thoughts in North Dakota, where there were big developments with the Dakota Access Pipeline, a cause close to her heart.
“psyched to be at #TIFF to talk about the film #Snowden! prayers being sent from up here in Toronto for those on the ground in North Dakota and those across our nation whom oppose the #dakotaaccesspipeline. #NoDAPL #RezpectOurWater #UpToUs,” Shailene captioned the below photo on Instagram.
FYI: Shailene is wearing an Elie Saab Couture gown, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, and John Hardy jewelry at the premiere. She is wearing a Fendi dress and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes at the pre-party. Zachary is wearing a Ferragamo suit.
