Lady Gaga Confirms 'Perfect Illusion' Is Not About Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga has confirmed that her new single “Perfect Illusion” is not about her ex-fiance Taylor Kinney.

The 30-year-old singer opened up in a new interview on Andy Cohen‘s SiriusXM radio show.

“I love Taylor so, so much,” Gaga said. “This song is not a hit out against Taylor. He’s my best friend. This song is just about, I’m sure, not only feelings I’ve had but feelings he’s had, that my friends have had, that my sister has in her relationship. When Andy suggested that the couple “consciously uncoupled” like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, she said she “wouldn’t say it that way.”

“I don’t think we’ve un-anything. We’re just two people figuring it out,” she said.
