Tiger Woods Remembers Golfer Arnold Palmer After His Death

Golf great Tiger Woods has released a statement on a fellow legend of the sport, Arnold Palmer, after his death.

“Thanks Arnold for your friendship, counsel and a lot of laughs. Your philanthropy and humility are part of your legend,” Tiger wrote on his Twitter account. “It’s hard to imagine golf without you or anyone more important to the game than the King.”

Tiger and Arnold knew each other for years and were often photographed together at major golf events. Arnold won 62 titles on the PGA Tour, with his last title coming in at the 1973 Bob Hope Desert Classic.

Our thoughts are with Arnold‘s loved ones during this time.

Tiger it’s time to get it together and play. Your mentor had high hopes that you could and would beat his record. He died before he could see you do it. Now honor him by coming back swinging and break the record and retire on top!
