Amber Rose & Julianne Hough Clear Up 'DWTS' Body Shame Comments

Amber Rose and Julianne Hough addressed the issue of body shaming on Dancing with the Stars on Monday (October 3).

If you missed it, last week, Amber felt she was body-shamed by Julianne during her dance.

“I felt you weren’t talking about my dance,” Amber said last night. “But If I misunderstood, I apologize. I’m a very positive person. I don’t like to argue or bicker or make things weird, so moving forward, I just want complete positive energy.”

Julianne responded, “I would like to say one thing also. The thing that I love so much about dance is that dance is a universal platform for people to express themselves. Any person. Whether that is age or height, body shape, ethnicity, sexual orientation. It is something that people can express themselves to do/ And for me, I am a huge supporter of that and that alone. As a judge on this show, I am here to solely judge you and everyone else in this competition for only the dancing. So I want you to know that.”

Amber also took to Twitter to make sure her followers knew that her and Julianne had cleared the air.

HI Jared…. Really like your stories. Usually. Until I get to the bad grammar. Pronouns were taught in elementary school.
I feel you lose a lot of credibility when your last sentence says…..Amber also took to Twitter to make sure her followers knew that her and Julianne had cleared the air. She had cleared the air. Saying her had cleared the air is incorrect.
You are not the only one to do this but your articles are spot on and then this.
