Author J.K. Rowling hosted a special Facebook Live Q&A on Thursday (October 13) during which she revealed that the story will play out in five movies total!

“.@jk_rowling has just confirmed the magic continues in a total of FIVE MOVIES! We can’t wait! #FantasticBeasts,” the official movie account tweeted.

Also in attendance at the event were Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Dan Fogler, with Colin Farrell and Jon Voight joining via satellite from Los Angeles.

Fantastic Beasts opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander (Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.

Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

The film hits theaters on November 18. Watch the stream below:

And people said that Peter Jackson made a bad decision when he split the Hobbit book into three movies, a book with more than 300 Pages. Well Fantastic Beasts has around 100 Pages! What a way to ruin it..Takes the whole charm away..I’d rather have one very good movie than 5 mediocre movies who only follow the purpose of money making…
