Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Pressure to Step Down From U.N. Role
Leonardo DiCaprio suits up in gray for a screening of Before The Flood held during the 2016 BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square on Saturday (October 15) in London, England.
The 41-year-old actor is reportedly getting pressure to step down from his role as United Nations Messenger of Peace.
According to CNN, a Swiss rainforest charity wants Leo to explain his alleged ties to a multibillion-dollar embezzlement case.
“Leonardo DiCaprio has consistently refused to explain his close personal and financial ties with key persons of the Malaysian 1MDB scandal,” Lukas Straumann, director of the the Bruno Manser Fund, said in a statement. “This is unacceptable.”
