'The Accountant' Beats Out 'What Now?' at Weekend Box Office

Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick‘s new film The Accountant beat out its competitors to take the top box office spot with $24.7 million!

According to THR, the film grossed $2.8 million from in its first 10 markets, mostly in Asia.

Kevin Hart‘s new movie What Now? and Emily Blunt The Girl on the Train tied at No. 2 with $11.9 million.

Rounding out the top five were Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Deepwater Horizon, earning $8.9 million and $6.3 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Nate Parker‘s Birth of a Nation brought in an additional $2.7 million for a domestic total of about $12 million.
