Amy Schumer Gets Booed, Has Audience Walk Out While Discussing Donald Trump on Stage

Amy Schumer performed her stand up show to a packed crowd of 10,000 people on Sunday (October 16) in Tampa, Florida, but not everyone was pleased when her show turned political.

The 35-year-old entertainer brought a Donald Trump supporter on stage and questioned the audience member as to why they are voting for him.

“Do you get worried at all with how impulsive he is, that he gets so fired up from ‘Saturday Night Live’ doing a skit on him?” Amy asked (via Variety). “Do you worry he’ll be impulsive and get us in a lot of f—ing trouble we can’t get out of?”

Amy told security to remove people, and people began booing as the set turned more political.

“Of course, we’re in Florida, you’re going to boo,” Amy said. “I know you’re here to laugh, but you choose how you’re going to live your life, and it’s just too important.”

About 200 people reportedly left the show due to her political discussions.

Ugh, I can’t stand her. Normally, I don’t let an entertainer’s political views affect my view of them, but she’s one of a handful that I will never support, in terms of going to going to their movies or watching their shows. Another is Lena Dunham. And, Michael Moore. An exception is Matt Damon…because I love me some Jason Bourne lol.

She is just not as funny as she used to be.

I never understand why people who basically didn’t go to school, don’t know the day to day struggle to the middle class, don’t know about economy or foreign policy and most importantly don’t know about living in this society feel the need to comment/control/advise/ the politics of the US, how bout you shut the fuck up and let people do what they want to do, i’m not for trump but if somebody is, discuss with them to see where they’re coming from

It’s the people that didn’t go to school and get an education that are voting for Trump. And as for day to day struggles-Amy has been self employed as a comic and only recently began making money. She knows the struggle and hustle of a comic on the road.

My question is why would a Trump supporter even go to her show?

  • gradybridges

99% of Hollywood hates Trump. Are you just going to watch Jon Voight and Scott Baio movies?

  • Maria M.

She is obnoxious. Her comedy is so vulgar. It says something about the society in which the likes of her succeed.

  • DEADP00L

What a stupid twat. She has no concept of who Hillary Clinton is and once elections over will she be paying ANY attention to what the next president does? Nope. She’ll go back to sleep just like she’s been sleeping for the past 8 years. Thats the level of ‘seriousness’ neo-liberals have. None. To them it starts and ends at the elections, and all that matter is they win – even if that win isnt even a win.

I wont be voting this year. my vote doesnt matter and Hillary Clinton will be POTUS; in the end its the ELECTORAL COLLEGE that decides not us.

  • DEADP00L

Considering that JK Rowling hired Jon Voight for her new Harry Potter movies – yeah cant really say he doesnt get around.

  • Mike

I hate her brand of comedy. It’s just as demeaning to woman. I was over her when she attacked a teenager. She just seems nasty. Then I saw her opening for SNL where she was making jokes about a babies butthole and vagina. It skeeved me out knowing she hangs with Lena Dunham. Old men are not the only creepers.

  • Mike

I kind of agree. I think it’s more what makes them so special that they always have the attention to do it. What makes Amy Schumer so qualified to determine what people should do or play it as she represents all woman. Like when she says “woman should support Hillary.” Why? Because you said so? It’s an over inflated ego all these celebs have that makes them special.

  • Gwin

Only 2% left/were kicked out. That gives me hope!

  • Maria M.

I’m suspecting they are only getting away with that kind of humor because they are women. I’m not sure if people would laugh if a guy joked about baby body cavities.

  • Naynay

my answer is : freedom ! we don’t have to like them but we do have to respect each other and that guy who went to see a comedian didn’t pay a ticket to actually get serve a sermon on politics and feminism … Amy did hustle (past) she doesn’t have the life of the average american so why comment and more importantly why ADVISE people when you don’t live/know/ or even relate to their lives, I’m sorry but if I was famous I’d feel so awkward telling people who to vote for …. mind your damn business, my own dad doesn’t tell me who to vote for so why would I listen to a comedian who doesn’t know shit about economics/politics/foreign policy/health care/unemployment rate ….

  • Huskystar

She is not funny but they bought tickets to her show anyway

  • Kitty

Because this is the new hypocritical “anti-bullying” society we’ve created.

Bullying = Bad…. Unless a person doesn’t agree with an issue they believe in. Then that person is a disgusting pig and must be ridiculed and destroyed because their opinions aren’t invalid and should not exist.

Racism is worse now than 10 years ago. White Hate (and white self-hate) is “cool”. And Bullying still exists. Its all just a role reversal and the “oppressed” are now the ones on the attack.

  • John Dow

They don’t hate Trump. A lot of so-called celebs have invested money in Clinton and they just want to protect their investments. That’s the only reason why they support and endorse her.

  • John Dow

I think they got their money back :)

  • Bob Anon

I don’t find her funny at all and wouldn’t go see her for free. What I really don’t like is how these same people act like everyone should be so tolerant yet they aren’t if you don’t agree with them. Double standard/hypocrites. So what if someone likes Trump and you don’t. It’s their right. You can’t tell others who they should/shouldn’t vote for.

  • Bob Anon

That’s not entirely true. I know plenty of highly educated people who are voting for all different candidates. To say that the uneducated are voting Trump is dishonest. Most people in Hollywood barely made it out of high school or dropped out and they are wholely for Hillary.

  • Douglas from Brazil

I find it amusing that Hollywood wants to tell american people on how and who to vote. They think they are above everything and think they are the only with a open mind and to swallow to american their way of thinking.

  • Douglas from Brazil

I’m tired f those celebrities speaking their mind and trying to throw down people like they are the only ones who has a right mind.

  • Douglas from Brazil

She’s a jew she never struggled.

  • texasranger

Great for them Trump supporters walking out on Amy Schumer.

She obviously supports Crooked Hillary Clinton and her corruption.

Some of Hillary’s corruption is reported and shown in the video linked below.

A Pew Research paper would like a word with you. Trump’s Voters are more Informed and educated than Hillary’s Supporters.
The idea that indoctrinated/educated people will be democrat leaning is as old as Marx’s pubes.

99% oh hollywood? where are you getting these facts it would be nice if you could source your bullshit instead of just spewing it.
