Frank Ocean's Albums 'Blonde' & 'Endless' Did Not Qualify for Grammy Awards
Frank Ocean is ineligible for the upcoming 2017 Grammy Awards because he missed the filing deadline.
The 28-year-old singer released two albums over the summer – visual album Endless with Def Jam and Blonde, which he released on his own – and it looks like neither album was submitted in time for Grammy consideration, Grammy reps confirmed to Billboard.
The deadline for Grammy consideration was September 30.
The reasoning behind why Frank‘s labels, management, or representatives didn’t submit his albums is still unknown.
Blonde debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200, and had over 270,000 downloads within the first week, which was the third highest album sell of the year.
Frank has won two Grammy awards, including “Best Urban Contemporary Album” for his album Channel Orange in 2013.
ARE YOU UPSET Frank Ocean won’t be nominated for any Grammys this year??
