Shawn Mendes flashes a smile while heading to a workout session with a pal on Thursday (November 3) in Sydney, Australia.

The 18-year-old singer was later spotted greeting excited fans outside his hotel and stopping to pose for selfies with them.

That same day, Shawn shared a photo on his Instagram in which he is standing shirtless next to two friends after trying his hand at surfing!

“Surfing is no joke. Waves kicked my ass!!! Hahah,” Shawn captioned the pic (below).

It was recently announced that Shawn will be performing at the 2016 American Music Awards for the first time!
