Mariah Carey's Prenup Details with James Packer Revealed
After Mariah‘s team received the draft from Packer‘s team, they reportedly rejected it as it was “tacky and insulting,” according to TMZ.
The site points out that the prenup made her seem like a “mail order bride” as there was a clothing allowance, an expense account and credit card clause, terms about when she could use his private planes, and a condition about which gifts she could keep if they split.

“Except for gifts between them for their engagement, wedding or on birthdays and anniversaries, no item of jewelry and/or personal adornment costing over $250,000 will be deemed a gift unless accompanied by, or promptly followed by, a writing specifically stating ‘This is my gift to you,’” one clause in the contract read.
The part of the prenup that caused the biggest problem was this one: “James will pay Mariah, and Mariah shall accept, $6 million dollars per year for each full year of marriage, up to a maximum of $30 million … adjusted pro-rata on a weekly basis [$151,385 per week].” She reportedly got him to agree to a $50 million lump sum if they were to ever end the marriage.
