Donald Trump Rushed Off Stage by Secret Service During Rally
Donald Trump was quickly escorted off stage during a campaign rally on Saturday (November 5) in Reno, Nevada.
The 70-year-old Republican presidential nominee was speaking at the podium when an incident in the crowd caused Secret Service agents to take the stage and remove him from the room.
A Secret Service spokesperson told CNN that an “unidentified individual” yelled “gun,” though no weapon was found.
The man, later identified as Austyn Crites, was detained after attendees got upset with his “Republicans Against Trump” sign.
“All of a sudden, because they couldn’t grab the sign, or whatever happened, bam, I get tackled by all these people who were just, like, kicking me and grabbing me in the crotch and just, just beating the crap out of me,” Crites said. “And somebody yells something about a gun, and so that’s when things really got out of hand.”
