The tweet has a pang of irony, because Donald may very well lose the popular vote to Hillary Clinton. All of the official numbers are not yet in, but as of right now, Donald has 289 electoral college votes and needed 270 to win the presidency.

I miss when Trump was a democrat

On this I agree with you Mr. Trump because if it weren’t for the electoral college, you would have never won.

The never ending argument – popular v electoral. I, for one, am thankful that we have an electoral college. It means that the rest of the country cannot be dictated to by high population centers that have different interests than the rest of the country. It is a way to ensure that each state has a say in who become President.

He’s a box of contradictions. What an embarassment for this country.

Trump did not change his tune at all. The electoral college is indeed a disaster for a democracy, because that was exactly what our founding fathers intended. The USA is a Republic … NOT a democracy. The biggest failure of a democracy is tyranny of the majority (mob rule). That is what the electoral college protects us against.

But, he did so get over it. Democrats love mob rule, and that is exactly why the electoral college protect us from … the tyranny of the majority. It sucks to be you in a Republic, doesn’t it?
