Gee, I don’t remember protests when Obama was elected. THIS is not who we are as a country. Time for these tools to grow the eff up and realize that you don’t always get your way. Betting that a majority of these folks didn’t even bother to vote.

Obama – speak out, UNITE US!! You are still President. … Hillary – speak out to your followers so we have peace.

Another proof that democrats and their supporters are cancer. Trump is President of the United States. If he is not your president, then you are not Americans, so get the fuck out of this country!

  • devvv

All of the places listed were blue last night. I’m willing to bet they did vote… but even if they didn’t, the beauty of this country is that they have every right to be out there. Freedom of speech & freedom of assembly. You don’t always get your way, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to be silent.

  • Cruizin1960

Of course they have the right to protest…but this is NOT who we are…this is NOT what we do when our candidate doesn’t win an election.

They can protest all they want. However, it’s not going to change what’s going to happen on January 20th.

A peaceful demonstration does not include stopping traffic on major freeways these people should be put in jail

  • jane

they could leave the country if they don’t agree with the new president and his values. less illegals to deport. they have to protest because they likely couldn’t vote

  • gwen

The Democrats are a scary lot. Sort of like carny folks.

  • :)

We had one of these “protest” in my city. They were calling for a revolution To change the results. They whined about not getting their way but after getting on the news the total of 8 liberals went home

  • FerCat

I remember a time when the Republicans were the scary party.

  • Damian

They most likely did vote and are angry that the candidate who won the vote didn’t win the election, the last time this happened we ended up with false wars and a crashed economy.

Do you honestly think only immigrants opposed Trump? He supports conversion therapy, opposes reproductive rights, and has spoken out against Muslims, Hispanics, African Americans, disabled, etc. and you think it’s only immigrants? This is a man who literally has a trial for raping a child next month and you think people are protesting because they couldn’t vote due to their citizenship?

This might not be what YOU do, but it’s what they’re doing. Millennials are a whole new ball park. This is not a generation of people who sit in silence when there’s so much at stake. Donald Trump and baby boomers aren’t deciding their future. The people in the streets are the ones who have to deal with all of this for years to come. They’re angry and it’s not going to change as long as such a polarizing figure is in office.

  • Cruizin1960

Yep…sure is a new generation. A generation of whining pansy asses. Do they think that they are the only ones who have ever been on the losing side of an election? Do they think that only THEY have a right to determine the direction of this country? Are they so ignorant to not know that baby boomers had THEIR futures determined by the prior generation? Millennials come across as fragile, whiny, entitled children. Their attempts at protests cannot even begin to compare to what young people in the 60s and 70s faced when THEY protested. Millennials have lived their lives believing that THEY are the center of the universe…they are not. The whining about how they are the ones who will have to deal with this for years to come….do they not understand that ALL of us have to deal with the decisions made by those who came before us? What is really frightening is that THESE are the people who will one day be the ones making the decisions….and I fear that when THEY do, they will not be leaving much for future generations…since they are all about “me”.

  • devvv

Well since you’re so scared, I guess it’s good for you that Trump and a majority of his party deny climate change. So, there probably won’t be much for millennials to take over. And I will say that if you think millennials are all about “me,” you must not have seen Trump or his supporters. He’s a narcissist who won because straight white people feel threatened. This was an act of white fragility because all they care about is “me.” When you’re not being threatened, it’s easy to overlook the problem. And that’s all I’m going to say. I’m not going to keep going back and forth when it’s obvious we’re not going to agree. You (like Trump and baby boomers) seem out of touch and I truly hope Trump’s presidency isn’t as detrimental and divisive as it’s shaping up to be. Have a great day.

  • Gina

This is not who we are??? Since when is freedom of speech not who we are or what we’re about? Great changes in history were made because people were vocal. Trump is morally bankrupt in the most blatant way imaginable, so it is only fair that people express their outrage with equal blatancy.

  • Gina

Obama was never a misogynistic racist. You’re comparing apples & oranges right now.

  • Cruizin1960

Provide examples of Trump being those things…specific and verifiable things that show that he hates women and is a racist.

  • Cruizin1960

We do not take to the street and torch things…we do not beat up people because they supported the other candidate…we do not beat up people simply because of the color of their skin. It is only your OPINION that Trump is what you claim him to be. How about you take the high road and wait and see exactly how he comports himself in office? Ever think that the rhetoric was for show?

  • Cruizin1960

Sounds more like YOU are the one feeling threatened. Me? I’m just sick and tired of being blamed for things because of the color of my skin…or my age…or because of where I grew up. Trump won because our government no longer works for the middle class. Everything it does is geared towards low income or those in the top 5%. Our government lies to the people…our government refuses to enforce our laws…our government steals from the citizens…our government finds it easier to give a hand out than a hand up.

  • Gina

Did I say anything about torching things and beating people up? I don’t support violence. I’m talking about the freedom of assembly, honey. Don’t get it twisted. I had to chuckle when you said ‘we don’t people up because of the color of their skin.’ Isn’t that what Trump supporters have been doing throughout the campaign? Pot meet kettle.

Now if you think Trumps rhetoric was just for show, this just tells me that he’s more deceitful then I thought. Anyone who supposedly pretends to be a hateful racist & is ok with people thinking that about them, has sociopathic tendencies. So no matter how you slice it, he’s shady as hell.

  • Gina

So him reducing women to their physical appearance, talking about grabbing them by the p*ssy, generalizing Mexicans as rapists and drug dealers, talking about building a wall to keep them out, painting all Muslims with the same brush, stereotyping black people & black communities aren’t examples??? Not to mention the coded racist & mysogonistic language he used all throughout the campaign. Where have you been living, under a damn rock?

  • jane

doesn’t really matter what i think, he’s the president soon, so… they can protest till the cows come home…. nothing gonna help their cause

  • Cruizin1960

So, his reducing women to their physical appearance…you have never in your life done the same thing about men? Granted his language was vulgar, but seriously? And, aside from that audio tape that was released, the comments that can be verified were directed at specific women…not women in general. He did not generalize Mexicans at all. If you paid attention to his speech, he was talking about illegal immigration into this country and it is a fact that there are a great many of illegals who have come from Mexico who are criminals…who are gang members. And, in case you were not aware…Mexican is not a race. The wall (in whatever form it takes) is to keep out those who would enter this country illegally through our southern border…regardless of their nationality. It will also inhibit the illegal drug traffic into this country.

As for Muslims – all of our intelligence and security agency heads have testified before Congress that there is no way that they can properly vet people coming from many of the locations that Muslims call home. Trump merely called for a temporary ban (which has been modified to only impact countries in which ISIS has a foothold) until our agencies can figure out a way to better vet these people. Remember, one of the San Bernadino terrorists managed to get into the country when her address of origin was not even checked. As for Muslims in this country – we know for a fact that radicalization is occurring at religious locations and it is these locations that he believes our law enforcement should be monitoring. He also believes that the Muslim community needs to step up to the plate and report something when they suspect or see something…nothing wrong with that. Why do you think that there are those so distrusting of those communities to begin with?

You mention stereotyping black people and black communities yet give no examples.

    As for coded language…provide examples.

  • Cruizin1960

Guess you missed that it was Hillary’s campaign that hired people to gin up violence at Trump events.

  • Gina

Oh, please. Racist violent white people were a dime a dozen at Trump campaign stops, no hiring necessary.

  • Gina

Oh, so since he directed his misogynistic language at specific women you think that he will miraculously turn it off for other women like a switch? It’s who he is honey, it’s ingrained in his soul (if he even has one). As far as his views on Mexican immigrants, he made it sound like most of them are bad, he mentioned any exception as an afterthought. Building a wall to keep out a group of people is antiquated & absolutely ridiculous. Moreover, all Muslims shouldn’t be held accountable for those that happen to be terrorists; because if that were the case, I could easily say that all white people should be held accountable for the racist violent white people of the world (and there sure as heck are a lot of them). The KKK is a terrorist group and yet Trump seems to have NO problem with them. Hypocrisy at it’s finest.

As far as the coded language goes, you must have been deaf, dumb and blind not to have noticed. Trump using the term ‘inner city’ to imply that’s where most black people live, him using the terms bad hombre and nasty woman. Heck, Trumps motto ‘Make America Great Again’ was the biggest coded language of his entire campaign. He may as well just have said, make America white again.

  • Cruizin1960

In case you missed it…and you probably did since you apparently couldn’t set your bias aside to do so, Trump was targeting areas specific to the African-American community that have been left behind by their local governments. Take a look at the demographics of pretty much any inner city in this country and you will find a high population of African Americans living under poor economic conditions. These are the people most in need. Those living in suburbs or rural areas are not in such desperate need as a whole. At least he was addressing the problem…and that is not racist.

The use of hombre had no underlying racial meaning. You probably missed the use of the word in many many hollywood movies. And, nasty woman…seems a fit description of Hillary…of course, you probably see nothing wrong with deplorables. As for Make America Great Again…are you not aware that, not only was it a slogan for Ronald Reagan, but that Bill Clinton used it as well in his first campaign for President. Bet you weren’t thinking it was racist code then, did you?
