Musician Leon Russell Dead - Famed Rocker Passes Away at 74

Famed musician Leon Russell has passed away at the age of 74 in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday (November 12), the AP reports.

The 74-year-old entertainer was known for touring with Willie Nelson and Elton John, playing with John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison on his first self titled album, producing and playing for Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Ike and Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones, and so much more.

Some of Leon‘s personal hits include “Tight Rope” and “Lady Blue.”

Leon had heart bypass surgery in July and was in recovery at the time of his death. He was planning on resuming touring in the new year.

Our thoughts are with Leon‘s friends and loved ones.
