VIDEO: John Oliver' Post-Election Episode is a Must Watch!

John Oliver‘s Last Week Tonight season finale aired on Sunday night (November 14) and he wrapped up the season by going into what having Donald Trump as the next president means for the country.

Oliver played clips of influential people in the news urging Americans to give Trump a chance, but he explained why we shouldn’t.

“Optimism is nice if you can swing it, but you’ve got to be careful, because it can feed into the normalization of Donald Trump, and he’s not normal,” he said. “He’s abnormal. He’s a human What Is Wrong With This Picture… So giving him a chance, in the sense of not speaking out immediately against policies he has proposed, is dangerous. Because some of them are alarming.”

At the end of the episode, Oliver recapped why 2016 has been one of the worst years on record.
