Casey Affleck Didn't Want To Do An Accent in 'Manchester by the Sea'

Casey Affleck wasn’t a fan of doing a Massachusetts accent in his upcoming film Manchester by the Sea.

While making an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the 41-year-old actor revealed he didn’t want to do the accent at first.

“For a minute I thought maybe I wouldn’t do it – a Boston accent – because sometimes they’re hard to get right…But I was shot down,” he said.

Casey went on to explain that he knows not everyone in Massachusetts has an accent and it might be hard for such a big cast to get right but they eventually decided it was right for the film.
