VIDEO: Mike Pence Attends 'Hamilton,' Cast Sends Him an Important Message After the Show

Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of the Broadway musical Hamilton on Friday night (November 18) and his presence was addressed by the cast during the curtain call.

The Republican politician received a mixture of boos and cheers throughout the evening while inside the theater and when he tried to leave during the curtain call, actor Brandon Victor Dixon asked him to stay a moment so he could read a message from the cast.

“We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” Brandon said.

“We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us,” he added. “This is one American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds and origins.”
